DO YOU BELIEVE IN ANGELS?
Nearly fifteen years ago, while at my retreat & wellness center in northern Ontario, a good friend of mine confided in me and told me that his wife was constantly battling with thoughts of suicide.
Most of my connections with my friend were based around both of us heading Chamber of Commerce organizations in our areas and only on rare occasions did I ever interact with his wife, but she always impressed me as being a very kind and talented person.
My friend asked me if he could have his wife come and talk with me about her issues. Of course, I accepted the invitation.
At my retreat, among other things, I taught Universal Spirituality to both Native Americans & non- Natives, so I had a much deeper understanding of the Spirit Realm then most, so I agreed to have her over for just a pleasant talk.
My first impression of her as being kind and talented was confirmed, and I started learning a lot more about this kind and gentle lady. I realized that she had a very low impression of herself, and through the conversation, she told me that she often thought the world would be better without her.
When the conversation afforded the proper opportunity, I asked her if she believed in angels, and she shyly nodded her head as confirmation that she did.
THE ANGEL TEST
I handed her a pad and pen and told her that I was going to ask her a series of questions, and I told her that I wanted her to write down her absolute first impressions.
Questions:
1. If the angel existed how tall would it be?
2. Would it be male or female?
3. How tall?
4. What color hair?
5. What would be its most prominent feature?
6. What would you notice about its eyes?
7. What kind of energy would it emit?
8. If it came upon a brand new fawn while walking in the forest, how would it feel?
9. If it walked into a nursery that had an entire room of brand new babies, how would it have felt?
10. If it was walking down a busy city street and saw a homeless person huddled over a grate and obviously shivering, how would it have felt?
11. If it was walking past a play ground that was filled with young children playing, how would it feel?
12. If it saw two bigger boys picking on a smaller child, how would they have felt?
13. If it was walking along a deserted beach and watched the sun rise from the waters, how would it feel?
14. If it watched a father & young son flying a kite together, how would it have felt?
15. if it was invited to attend a dear friend’s graduation ceremony, and watch the friend receive the diploma, how would it have felt?
16. If it was in the middle of a vast field of wild flowers on a sunny day, how would it have felt?
17. If it watched a mother kiss her brand new baby for the first time, how would it have felt?
I then instructed her to draw a line through anything that she wouldn’t have resonated with, other than the physical attributes.
Then I had her really focus her thoughts on all of the responses.
Then I explained to her that all of the answers she wrote down were in fact the qualities that an angel would truly possess.
I followed it with the following question.”If it walks like a duck, Quacks like a duck, & Waddles like a duck, it’s probably not a giraffe, is it?
THE PURPOSE OF LIFE
Over the years I have been asked quite often, “What is the purpose of life?
The answer really is quite simple. The purpose is to teach us how to replicate all the qualities of an angel.
When we have mastered each quality then we have earned the right to either sit beside The Creator forever or to come back in the form of a Guardian Angel, and the vast majority chooses to come back to serve humanity.
Then I told my new friend to look back at any single seemingly negative event, and ask herself, “If an angel was experiencing the same exact event, wouldn’t she have felt exactly the same way she had?”
There is truly purpose behind every single seemingly negative event that occurs throughout our lives. The purposes typically revolve around a specific angelic quality.
Qualities such as compassion; understanding; kindness; forgiveness; & unconditional love, are just a few angelic qualities that provide the answers to the often asked question of, “Why Me?”
